Job Title: Vice President Treasury & Investments
Job Location: Dubai

Provide effective asset, liquidity and cash management services, ensure insurance coverage, manage the Company funding, bank relations, money market & capital market transactions, as well as financial investments to minimize UASC’s financial exposure and to maximize positive impact on results. Ensure effective monitoring and control over associated risks. Support CFO in the management of the Company's banking relationships
Cash Flow Instruments:

- Manage UASC's holdings of various cash-flow and money market instruments, on a daily basis, in order to provide the right level of liquidity for meeting the organizational requirements in a timely fashion, while incorporating forecasted cash flow requirements
Money Market Flow:
- Monitor money market flows and define requirements for money market instruments, that implement strategies to take advantage of favourable market flow changes
Forex Exposure:
- Develop and implement strategies to minimize UASC's exposure to fluctuations in foreign exchange rates by engaging in activities such as currency swaps, hedges, arbitrages etc. within management-defined risk limits
Risk Hedging Strategy:
- Develop and monitor strategies to hedge risks pertaining to exposure to foreign exchange rates as well as interest rates in order to manage overall corporate risks within specified limits
Bunker Hedging Strategy:
- Develop and execute bunker hedging strategies, based on input from the Bunker Department (based on bunker purchasing projections/quantities, bunker lifting port, market fluctuations) and in accordance with UASC risk profile
Asset Allocation:
- Oversee the investment of UASC assets in suitable instruments of diversified maturities, asset classes and risk types to maximize UASC's profitability while limiting its exposure to risks such as market speculations and fluctuations
Coordination:
- Collaborate with CFO to manage UASC's relationships with commercial and investment banks to identify opportunities of investing UASC funds in the best possible manner to maximize returns
Operations:
- Monitor the operations of cash transfers and remittances to ensure that they are performed as per the defined standards in an efficient and timely manner
Swift Systems:
- Direct the transition of UASC Finance function from the current online system to the new Swift system to enable the organization to maximize efficiencies and reduce transaction costs
Skills

Minimum Qualifications:

- Master’s degree in Finance, Banking or an MBA from a reputable university
- Strong analytical, financial and systems skills are required.
- Experience in working in global business environment a plus.
- Certified Treasury Professional designation is a plus

Minimum Experience:

- 10-15 years overall experience in cash management, pension management, capital markets, corporate finance, and liaising with financial institutions/banks, preferably with exposure to maritime shipping, logistics and/or airline industries
- 8-10 years in a leadership role
