Job Purpose

To understand the business strategies and operations of Revenue Optimization business domain and to translate them into IT solutions that aligns with Business and EG-IT strategies.

The job holder will analyse customer business strategies and plans, processes and practices as well as industry trends to make recommendations in quantifiable terms on where IT solutions and business transformations could produce benefits such as reduction in unit cost of operation, incremental revenue, enhanced productivity, improved decisions making and alignment with growth projections and strategy.


Job Outline

Provide a consulting service to the business by utilizing domain expertise and recommend initiatives where Emirates IT could add value through high level enterprise information management and business intelligence solution design.
Understand the business strategy, proactively monitor industry trends and work with the solution design and relationship managers to evaluate and develop initiatives and present them to decision makers within the customer business unit.
Solicit and evaluate business requests to determine cost feasibility research and identify options and recommend solutions that best serve business needs across the enterprise.
Monitor changes in the IT domain and in the customers' business environment. Regularly and proactively review how these changes might impact Emirates IT's ability to improve its services. Liaise with relevant IT departments to ensure that changes in customers' business landscape is reflected in the overall business architecture technology and applications. Will be responsible for IT applications and product lifecycle management.
Oversee the analysis done by Business Analysts as they capture and document business objectives and functional requirements and translate them into requirements and solution definition documents as per Quality guidelines for system solutions in a comprehensive, meaningful and well-structured manner. This includes ensuring that the proposed business solution will deliver the expected benefits. Ensure that the end product aligns with business strategy.
Oversee the production of the logical systems design (detailing business information flow/process) for a proposed solution. This includes detailed business use cases, system use cases, entity relationship modelling, function hierarchy diagramming and process modelling, function to entity mapping and attributing the entities etc. as appropriate to the methodology being used.
Interfaces with external customers to drive sales leads to completion by demonstrating knowledge of Mercator products to enable closure of sales contracts.
Provide inputs to Sales and Market Development initiatives, such as
Requests For Proposals/Requests for Information
Application demos, presentations and pre-sales related workshops
Business cases and proposals
Set clear and consistent performance objectives, implement performance management and development plans to ensure standards of performance and productivity are achieved and maintained enabling a high performance culture.
Qualifications
Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) and specialisation in Operations Research (OR)

Experience
Minimum of 8 years experience in a similar capacity in Revenue Optimization domain in airline industry. In-depth experience in Revenue Management (RM), Operations Research (OR) and Statistical modelling. A proven track record in business analysis for IT projects

Preferred Additional Experience
Experience in Demand Forecasting, Optimization methodologies, Origin & Destination based RM, related business process KPI development and change management.

JOB PURPOSE

Support the aircraft Docking Officers in the operation, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of the docking systems.
Supervise work carried out by sub-contractors on all support systems.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES


  • Supervise all work involving electrical systems on docking systems, including CCTV cameras, PLC systems, and modifications to programming systems.
  • Controls and monitors operation of electrical supply to docking units.
  • Controls the testing and calibration of all docking equipment within the facility.
  • Monitors compressed air supply to the docks, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of the air network on all docking units.
  • Ensures all work carried out by EK teams and third parties meets quality requirements.
  • Ensures all equipment that requires load testing is fully serviceable prior to test.


MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE/TRAINING/QUALIFICATIONS

Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in mechanical/electronics/instrumentation or minimum 10 years' experience in Docking systems at Leader level.
Knowledge of PLCs (prologic circuits)
Computer skills i.e., Office, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel.
Knowledge of Siemen electronic systems.
Excellent written and spoken English.
EXPERIENCE:

3+ years' experience in similar environment.
